Music to the People

Usually actors in bands suck, but I have to hand it to Jason Schwartzman, Phantom Planet was was a good band and Coconut Records is pretty damn good too. Sure, not all their songs. A few are decent, some are bland, but one is spectacular and worth writing about. My sister actually turned me onto this song a few years ago from China of all places. I have no idea how this song found its way out there, but it found its way back home to me in Venice. Probably my favorite part of this song is the subtle "yeah right" near the end of the song. Jason is a great actor and a great musician which seems impossible these days. Just ask Russell Crow.
